Behind the Blend: Meet Scarlett
What is your name and job role, and what do you do?
I’m Scarlett Easey and I'm the Marketing Assistant. I am here on a placement year from Bournemouth University. I'm here to help out in as many marketing aspects as I can but I'm currently focusing more on social media as well as making trend and competitor reports.
What is your favourite cocktail?
This might be a very basic answer, however, it would have to be a Mojito, I love lime and mint since its so refreshing and it makes me feel like I’m having something healthy. It was the first cocktail I ever had so it holds a special place in my heart.
What is your favourite mix?
It’s got to be the Passion Fruit & Vanilla mix. I’ve always been so disappointed in the past trying Passion fruit martinis because they never taste right. I was super sceptical thinking it would taste super artificial but I was very pleasantly surprised at how fresh it tasted. Even the ambient mix is pretty good, I've worked behind bars with a bunch of passion fruit mixes but this is the only ambient one to actually taste like passion fruit.
What is the most memorable cocktail experience you have ever had?
As a Uni student a vast majority didn’t make it into the memory bank. However, one night I dressed up as the very hungry caterpillar (face paint and all) for a society night and I won a 2 litre cocktail tower for my dedication to the costume.
<—- that’s me dressed up
What do you love the most about working for Icely Done?
I think the balance between work and life is great. Being a student entering a more corporate world was a bit daunting at first, but the entire team were so lovely and really helped me get on my feet and made sure I was comfortable. I've been introduced to a bunch of different roles and people and it's been great in helping me understand the inner workings of the company better. Furthermore, I get lots of space to have creative freedom and contribute ideas without feeling judged and all of my points are taken onboard.
What is your ultimate bar snack and cocktail pairing?
Nachos and sour cream with a Hugo Spritz. I think the mix between the salty nachos and the sweet herbal flavour in the Hugo Spritz just works so well.
